Our recent 3-night stay was delightful! The breakfast spread was absolutely delicious, especially the French toast. The peaceful atmosphere allowed us to truly unwind, even while it snowed outside. We loved the sweet little touches, like the stocked fridge and warm cookies waiting for us each night.

Great breakfasts and friendly hosts, but the Wi-Fi was really poor.

It was just a proper fit for a weekend rest in Banner Elk with great value-to-price ratio. The breakfast with waffles topped with blueberries and whipped cream was a delightful surprise. Make sure to try the homemade goodies in the hall foyer.

During our visit, we loved being so close to both Grandfather Mountain State Park, where we enjoyed stunning views, and the charming Valle Crucis Community Park, perfect for afternoon strolls. the small treats like lemon muffins and sugar cookies from the innkeepers made our stay feel even more welcoming.

Tessa and Bernard made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room, Aunt Doris Room 2, was clean and the bed comfortable. The homemade breakfasts were a highlight, and each morning offered something different. I enjoyed chatting with the other guests over coffee. One drawback was the difficulty of getting in and out of the beautiful bathtub. I usually prefer to shower, but the shower curtain could be challenging. Despite this, the room temperature was perfect during our stay. Overall, the charm and hospitality made it a lovely experience.
